Shipping Policy
At House of Hoyas, we supply live plants to Hoya, Dischidia and exotic plants to plant lovers enthusiasts in most Australian states and territories.
All plants sold through www.houseofhoyas.com.au are available for pickup in Oakleigh East, Victoria Australia or for shipment via Australia Post Express Post in other Australian states.
Plants are carefully packed in eco friendly plant-based wrap, plant-based packing peanuts and biodegradable hex cardboard to ensure as little non-biodegradable waste as possible prior to shipment.
The weight of the plant in the product page includes sufficient packaging to protect your plant.
Plants being in mail distribution centres over the weekend can result in plant stress and potential death of plants.
To ensure as little stress on the plants as possible, we generally ship on Mondays, Tuesdays & Wednesdays. This means that your plants arrive as quickly as possible from the moment of shipment until you can enjoy them in your own home.
All care is taken from when you purchase your new plant through the packing process until the time plants are given to Australia Post. We will send you a photo of the packed plants for your approval to ship.
Unfortunately, we cannot be responsible / liable for damage to plants that occur whilst being handled and delivered by Australia Post.
Shipping Amount Flat Rate Policy
Because plants and items shipped may vary in weight, Australia Post will charge House of Hoyas on a case by case basis.
Australia Post have advised that the Majority of shipments will cost $19.75, however some items may cost less to ship.
House of Hoyas wants to be fair in our shipping policy, so all Express Post shipments (unless the item is oversize and overweight) will be charged at an initial $19.75 at the checkout to cover the maximum shipping cost.
Once shipped, customers will be refunded any difference between this amount and the actual shipping cost. e.g. if the actual shipping cost is $16.00, the customer will receive a $3.75 refund.
Plant Enthusiasts in Western Australia, Tasmania and The Northern Territory
Unfortunately, we currently cannot ship plants to Western Australia, Tasmania or the Northern Territory because of strict quarantine requirements in place to protect the native habitat and commercial crop production of those states and territory.
Please do not make a purchase via our website if you reside in one of these locations.
Any purchases made by residents of these locations will be cancelled and customers will be fully refunded.
