What’s in The Bag, Man?
LECA (Lightweight Expandable Clay Aggregate) also known as ‘”Clay pebbles” are small balls of baked clay that can be used on their own as growing meduim, instead of soil or potting mix.
They can aslo be added to your potting mix to improve aeration or can be used at the bottom of your pots to impove the health of the plant’s roots. Many plant growers use LECA when propagating new plants from cuttings like Hoya Plants.
Thses pebbles are neutral pH, Highly porous to hold maximum water, or allow free flowing drainage, depending on the application, and have many air pockets that help your plant build strong roots.
They have been made round and evenly sized to remain stable to give your plant a firm home in your pot, as well as to deter pests and minimise disease.
Our 2L pouches of Canna Aqua pebbles are ideal for approximately to meduim-sized pots.
Instructions: Rinse LECA ballls in fresh celean water in a bucket until there is no dust in the water. Empty dirty water into the garden not down the sink.
